Tuscany above all, a nice slice of Emilia-Romagna, Umbria and the Republic of San Marino and a hint of Marche and Latium: the roads that have inspired our big champions and the Italian legendary motoring culture… enthralling bucolic scenery dotted with medieval villages and castles and Apennine passes. Plus an enthusiastic visit of the Ferrari and Ducati realms near Bologna, a lunch in Valentino’s bar and the opportunity to attend thrilling international motorbike races. Tour program details
Day 1: Meeting in Rome (Roma)
We meet in the afternoon in our hotel in Rome and go together to pick up the rental bikes. We all meet up before dinner for a short but important briefing, the time to explain a few simple rules for organizing and synchronizing things, thus ensuring that everyone has a safe holiday that is unforgettable for all the right reasons. Then we’ll break the ice and start forging some group spirit over a classic Italian pre-dinner aperitif.

Day 2: 220 km
We start our tour heading to Tuscany with a beautiful stretch along Lake Bracciano and the visit of a beautiful dying city before arriving in the enchanting wine countryside Val d’Orcia (Unesco world heritage) and its delightful villages and reach one of the most enchanting ever, the wine capital Montepulciano, for our night stop-over. We have lunch in a typical Tuscan trattoria whereas you can choose your own restaurant for dinner.

Day 3: 160 km
An absolute wow day! Today’s tour is entirely set in the amazing rolling valleys of Tuscany. Val d’Orcia first where an enchanting route amid hills and vineyards offers lots of most interesting places to see such as the amazing city of Siena where we’ll make a long stop during lunch time in order to let you visit its magnificent cathedral and renaissance palaces. The day concludes in the most sumptuous and romantic of all Italian cities: Florence. Time is a relative concept here, where every nook and byway takes you back to the court of the Medici with the Italian Renaissance in its glorious pomp.

From day 4 to 9 there are some differences between the May/June edition scheduled during the Mugello MotoGP and the September edition scheduled during the Misano MotoGP in order to allow those who want to live this fantastic event to attend as well the qualifications on Saturday and the races on Sunday.
JUNE EDITION, MUGELLO MOTOGP
Day 4: 0 – 240 km
Participants can choose between:
A great ride on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine mountains awaits today together with the visit of two very suggestive, spiritual places hidden in the green of these centenarian forests: a monastery where Saint Francis has spent many years of his life and a hermitage, both permeated with a stilling peaceful atmosphere that will fill up your spirit.
Since today is the official qualifications day of the Mugello grand prix, those who want to can attend this fantastic event on the track.
It is also possible to have a rest day in Florence for visits and shopping.

Day 5: 0 – 80 km
You choose:
Today is the Italy MotoGP race day on the Mugello track and all those who want can go and enjoy this adrenaline filled day
Alternatively, day off in Florence for visits and shopping.

Day 6: 200 km
Three further Unesco World Heritage sites are on our program today. First stop today: San Gimignano and its 100 towers, then Pisa with its magnificent Renaissance testimonial. After a comprehensive visit of Piazza dei Miracoli and the famous Leaning Tower, we skip back into the Middle-Ages in another magnificent town: Lucca, where you are free to have dinner where you fancy in a breathtaking scenery.

Day 7: 185 km
It’s time for a change of scenery, a day dedicated to Italy’s best when it comes to engines. We cross the Apennines through one of the pass most loved by bikers and drop in the region of Emilia-Romagna heading for the Ferrari home town Maranello before gaining Modena (Unesco world heritage). Choice of possible (optional) activities in Maranello among which the visit of the factory and museum or a lap in none other than a Ferrari. After the rumbling of powerful engines some lyrical music for our ears with a visit to the Pavarotti museum. Or how about ravishing our taste buds with a visit to the oldest balsamic vinegar maker in the world? Going out for dinner will be the right opportunity for a stroll in the enchanting historic centre of Modena.

Day 8: 260 km
Straight roads being totally banned from our program – we’re bikers, aren’t we? – we reach the sea resort Cattolica on the Adriatic via the Apennine mountains, treating ourselves to lots of great bends amid verdant forests. We have chosen our comfortable 3-star hotel for it is soaked with adrenaline, the right place to meet famous (Italian) people in the environment of motorcycle racing. Both lunch and dinner are included today.

Day 9: 20 – 180 km
You choose:
A ride in the footsteps of the lords of Rimini, the Malatesta family, taking in two of their most interesting medieval castles: the fort that imprisoned the Count of Cagliostro (a famous alchemist, born Giuseppe Balsamo, whose story has been dramatized in several adventure movies) and the little fortified town of Gradara, the setting for the classic love story between Paolo and Francesca immortalized in canto 5 of Dante’s Inferno, part of the great poet’s epic Divine Comedy. Great happy ending of the day, the visit of the most interesting motorcycle museum in Italy.
In alternative, day off in Cattolica/Riccione with lots of possible activities: beach, shopping, thermal baths. Or just a short ride to see the Republic of San Marino. This is also the right day for a visit to Tavullia (Valentino Rossi’s home town) and Coriano (where Marco Simoncelli hailed from).

We start our way back to Rome along a route sprinkled with architectural jewels. We cross the Marche, where we’ll visit the fine town of Urbino (Unesco world heritage site) before entering Umbria where we’ll stop in 3 beautiful and unique places: Assisi, Gubbio and our final destination Spoleto. In a word, a feast for the eyes the whole day! We’ll have a typical Umbran lunch in a nice trattoria on the way while you are free to dine where you fancy in amazing Spoleto.

Day 11: 200 km
More of magnificent Umbrian sites are ours to see during our last day in the saddle. We return to Latium and the capital city. For one last UNESCO World Heritage treat, we visit the beautiful renaissance Villa d’Este before winding our way back to the hotel in Rome where our odyssey began and taking the hire bikes back. A lavish lunch in the capital provides a fitting end to our adventure together.

Day 12: Farewells in Rome
We say our goodbyes after breakfast, leaving you free to go home or explore further the magic of Italy on your own. There are plenty of opportunities to continue your trip that we can help you planning!

All our guided tours are limited editions for a maximum of 7 bikes to guarantee a major pleasure in riding as well as the safety of the group. An Italian Tour Leader (who speaks English and French) will accompany you all along this PREMIUM trip, thus granting you the carefreeness of a real holiday. Specifically, the personnel traveling with the group is:
- tour leader on his own motorcycle who leads up the way
- luggage van with a minimum of 8 participants.
