Tour program details
Day 1: arrival in Milan/Borgo Sesia
For the self-guided tour without motorbike rental, the starting point can be either in Borgo Sesia in Piedmont or Milan, and for the self-guided tour with motorbike rental and the guided tours, the starting point is in Milan only.
We meet at our hotel in Milan in late afternoon, where we go together to pick up the rental bikes and then get to know each other over a drink or 2
Day 2: 200 km
We start with the beautiful bends of the Piedmont Alps and the stunning roads which border the two most beautiful lakes in the region. In doing so, a fantastic climb through the woods will take us to a central terrace where we will enjoy a magnificent 360 ° panorama over three lakes. Overnight on the banks of Lake Maggiore.
Day 3: 220 km
The roller-coaster continues with a string of climbs and descents on beautiful winding roads that will take us to Switzerland and then we will climb to the top of another terrace which offers a magnificent view of several lakes simultaneously, before arriving on Lake Como.
Day 4: 225 km
Another hop into Switzerland will take us on a series of splendid roads crisscrossing between alpine passes, glaciers and lakes, to the icing on the cake: the legendary Stelvio Pass with its 2758 m of altitude (the second highest of Europe) and its 88 hairpins: 48 on one side and 40 on the other.
Overnight stay in Bormio.
Day 5: 200 km
Today it is one of the most important passes for Italian bikers, for its beauty and its difficulty, which awaits us. Following on, a beautiful road on the mountainside that will take us to Trentino, where a visit to one of the most beautiful medieval castles in the country is a must, before reaching the magical Dolomites. Overnight stay in Vigo di Fassa.
Day 6: 225 km
A selection of the most beautiful passes, lakes, villages and ski resorts of the Dolomites is on the agenda today. For those on the self-guided tour, we recommend adding an extra day here to make the most of the spectacular landscapes of the Dolomites, which have earnt them the UNESCO World Heritage Site classification. Overnight stay in Vigo di Fassa.
Day 7: 255 km
Another day for a feast for the eyes and the pleasure of riding! We continue into the Dolomites with endless passes and lakes to the charming town of Trento, capital of Trentino, our last stop before heading back towards Milan. Overnight stay in Trento.
Day 8: 255 km
For this last day we offer two different itineraries, one for nature lovers, with a spectacular road in a canyon, and the other one more touristic, with a stop in Verona for a visit to the famous Roman arena and Juliet’s house. Both itineraries include Lake Garda and continue on winding roads punctuated by lakes, 70 km away from Milan, where we return the rental motorcycles. Alternative for self-guided tour without motorcycle rental: Bergamo. A lavish farewell dinner is the perfect conclusion for this great adventure together.
Day 9: departure from Milan
We say our goodbyes after breakfast. From there, you can either go home or extend your stay further to enjoy the magic of Italy, to relax the body, after so many twists and turns through this beautiful tour. We would be happy to help you plan your onward journey.
