Tour program details
Day 1: meeting in Verona
Individual arrival of all participants in Verona (Unesco world heritage site) which we recommend you to dedicate AT LEAST one day before or after the tour for a self-contained visit.
We all meet up at our hotel in the afternoon. Around 5:30 – 6:00 PM we go and pick up the rental bikes (if any) and have a short but important briefing, the time to explain a few simple rules for organizing and synchronizing things, thus ensuring that everyone has a safe holiday.
A typical Italian welcome aperitif will be the right occasion to get to know each other.
Day 2: 185 km
The tour starts with a visit of the splendid and ancient small fortified city of Sirmione on lake Garda and a visit of the roman ruins of Grottoes of Catullus. We’ll continue along the lake to then travel some of the most fascinating roads of Italy in a deep canyon before we reach an ancient mountain village with marvelous houses of stone and a profusion of flowers. Finally we’ll arrive to the enchanting city of Trento, founded by the ancient Romans but now featuring all the fascination of the contemporaneous mittel-European towns, where we’ll stop for the night.
Day 3: 225 km
We leave Trento to follow a splendid and breathtaking itinerary. We’ll see the pyramids of Segonzano along the road towards the first passes of the Dolomites like the Rolle pass with San Martino di Castrozza, and later the splendid Giau pass which will bring us to Cortina d’Ampezzo, one of the most famous ski station, where we’ll spend two nights.
Day 4: 245 km
A splendid tour in the middle of the most spectacular nature, surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes and enjoying the most famous passes of the Dolomites. We’ll see the delightful mountain villages of Ortisei and Canazei with Sassolungo, the Sella group and the Marmolada massif as well as two beautiful lakes. Definitely a wow program! Overnight in Cortina.
Day 5: 310 km
We leave Cortina to go and see the very symbol of the Dolomites, the “Tre cime di Lavaredo” (three peaks of Lavaredo) and another very suggestive lake. A breathtaking ride along the roof of the Dolomites will follow with a foray in Slovenia wherefrom we descend back to Italy and the Friuli Dolomites to visit the amazing Renaissance fine town of Cividale (XV century). Finally we head for the enchanting Udine, and open air salon with delightful ancient palaces and squares with Venetian charm mixed to an elegant Austro-Hungarian atmosphere, reign of aperitifs and pubs.
Day 6: 230 km
After a first stop in the historic city of cured ham San Daniele, along the Dolomite of Belluno we’ll go and see the beautiful lakes Barcis and Vajont with its dyke now in disuse and sadly known for the disaster of 1963 that caused 1917 victims . We’ll continue in the land of Prosecco (sparkling wine) and finally reach Asiago on the “Sette Comuni” (7 municipalities) plateau, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 7: 240 km
We start our ride roaming around the splendid landscapes of the plateau of Asiago to then dive in the Middle Ages through a visit of the greatest fortification from Trentino and continue along the charming panoramas of the cliffs towards our final destination, the awesome Verona, where we’ll drop off the rented motorbikes before returning to our initial hotel. A lavish farewell dinner is the perfect conclusion for this great adventure together.
Day 8: farewell in Verona
We say our goodbyes after breakfast, leaving you free to go home or explore further the magic of Italy on your own. We are at your complete disposal to help you planning your remaining days in this awesome region, for instance a visit of Venice (Venezia, Unesco world heritage site, 120 km), a stay in some warm water spa around Padua (Padova, Unesco world heritage site, 90 km) or in some holiday resort on lake Garda.
