  • Tuscany from Milan motorcycle tour program details

Intended as a real pleasure tour for real moto-tourists, this tour is our technically easiest and physically lightest proposal, that will grant you lots of treats and unforgettable moments. Special highlight is given to gastronomy with the possibility to choose every two evenings the little restaurant where to have dinner, for a taste of the most authentic Italian cuisine in often very impressive and romantic settings.

Day 1: Meeting in Milan (Milano)
We muster in the afternoon in our hotel in Milan and go together to pick up the rental bikes. We all meet up before dinner for a short but important briefing, the time to explain a few simple rules for organizing and synchronizing things, thus ensuring that everyone has a safe holiday that is unforgettable for all the right reasons. Then we’ll break the ice and start forging some group spirit over a classic Italian pre-dinner aperitivo.
Overnight in 4-star hotel in Milan; included meals: D.

    Day 2: 340 km
We start our tour crossing region Emilia-Romagna and subsequently the Apennines through the very suggestive Abetone pass before arriving in the charming northern area of Tuscany called Garfagnana with its beautiful natural park and finally reach one of the most enchanting and fine towns in Tuscany: Lucca (Unesco world heritage site). On our way a sensorial experience in Modena, where we visit the oldest balsamic vinegar factory in the world with final tasting, before exploring the extraordinary historic centre (Unesco world heritage site) and We have lunch in a typical trattoria on our way whereas you can choose your own restaurant for a romantic and probably exquisite dinner in Lucca.
Overnight in 4-star hotel in Lucca; included meals: B,L.

    Day 3: 140 km
Two more Unesco world heritage sites are on our program today and in the middle an enchanting rider’s route up and down on the Tuscan hills. First stop today: Pisa, with its magnificent Renaissance testimonies. After an accurate visit of the world famous Piazza dei Miracoli with the impressive Duomo (cathedral), Baptistery and Leaning Tower, we skip back into the Middle-Ages  in the most famous, enthralling little town of San Gimignano. To conclude the day, we chug into the timeless mediaeval gem that is Volterra, once an important Roman town and before that the first capital of Etruria, our billet for the night.
Overnight in 4-star hotel in Volterra; included meals: B, D.

    Day 4: 140 km
A marvelous day tour amid the enchanting scenery of vineyards and medieval burgs that is the symbol par excellence of Tuscany. Gliding through the verdant, gently rolling Tuscan Val d’Elsa and Val d’Orcia (Unesco world heritage site) we go and visit amazing Sienna (Unesco world heritage site) with the peculiar Piazza del Campo that houses the famous Palio and the extraordinary cathedral (that in our personal opinion is one of the five most beautiful churches in the world). Our next stop will be the enchanting Renaissance fine town Pienza (Unesco world heritage site) and finally the wine capital Montepulciano where we’ll overnight. Typical Tuscan lunch included, dine where you please.
Overnight in 4-star hotel in Montepulciano; included meals: B, L.

    Day 5: 180 km
More vineyard hills await…  We’ll ride through the Chianti valley on our way to Tuscany’s most majestic, romantic and charming town:  Florence (Firenze), where we’ll stay for two nights. I can guarantee that if you will be able to surrender to its magic and forget about time and realty, this spellbinding place will transport you back to the time of the Renaissance and the magnificent court of the Medici family…
Overnight in 4-star hotel in Florence; included meals: B, D.

    Day 6: 240 km
A great ride on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine mountains awaits today together with the visit of two very suggestive, spiritual places hidden in the  green of these centenarian forests: a monastery where Saint Francis has spent many years of his life and the Camaldoli Hermitage, both permeated with a stilling peaceful atmosphere that will fill up your spirit. But since our flesh needs nutriment too, a sound mountain lunch based on game and mushrooms shall bring balance between body and mind back. Dine where you please in Florence.

    Day 7: 330 km

    Video on Pisa

The cradle of the Italian Renaissance, Tuscany has a unique, spectacular appeal. It enshrines thousands of artworks, marvelous villas once owned by the Medici family, perfectly preserved burgs (such as San Gimignano, Volterra, Montalcino and many others) and seemingly impossible constructions like the town of Pitigliano, as well as important remains of bygone ages, specifically the Etruscan and Roman civilizations. All in all, it has a wealth of history and picture-perfect landscapes unrivaled anywhere in the world.

It almost seems that time has stood still in the many medieval villages, ancient jewels that lend this breathtaking region the atmosphere and artistic beauty of a past now remote.
Each old palazzo, cathedral, or church bears the mark of some major artist from the Middle Ages or the Renaissance.
The richness of the artistic heritage gathered in the most important cities, primarily Florence (not forgetting Siena, Pisa, Lucca and many more), but also scattered all over the territory, makes Tuscany an undisputed highlight of the worldwide travel scene. And when it comes to the landscape and the natural environment – whether it’s the Siena Crests, the Val d’Orcia, the Garfagnana area, the Chianti Hills or the Maremma – their spectacular beauty cannot fail to enthrall.

In this area, nature has many faces, starting from the elegant Tuscan seaside up to the unspoiled Apuan Alps. Yet the most characteristic scenery, for us, is a harmonious blend of natural beauty with the enchanting view of some medieval burg, rural chapel, or impressive monastery.

Our tour in this marvelous area will take us through a selection of outstanding sights hand-picked from the panoply of spectacular places it contains. Like every other tour in our program, the RIDE itself will be exciting, because the route is designed around the turns, the surface, and the view offered by the individual roads – don’t forget that motorbike holidays are what we’re all about! But for this one, we have put particular emphasis on the DISCOVERY, with many visits on foot, and the DOLCE VITA, dedicating special attention to FOOD & WINE, with various opportunities to follow your nose and treat yourself to Tuscany’s excellent culinary repertoire. Another special feature is the ACCOMMODATION in charming historic buildings that can be found only in Italy.
